- Our Master Bedroom -
Our Master Bedroom all started with this bed from West Elm. I was IN LOVE and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
Once I decided on the bed I knew I needed to paint the back wall in order for this brushed goldbed to pop like I had envisioned. After agonizing over several days I landed on Loyal Blue from Sherwin Williams. It was nice and bold leaning more green than red giving it that jewel tone I was going for! A navy wall is expected but if you take it either direction you can add a little interest.
Next it was time to add some texture, this large feather Juju hat did the trick. It visually softens the metal and hard edges from the bed. The pillow made from antique textiles also adds a nice texture to break up the metal.
I am a strong believer in the fact that every room needs something vintage/old in it. It adds depth and character that is hard to find in a room full of brand new furniture. Vintage campaign side tables were my goal. Now it is time to scour the world wide web for the right price and delivery fee. This is where one of my favorite websites, Charish.com comes in. This website had so many beautiful vintage options! There are also other endless ways to find vintage furniture but that is for another post! Anyway, after searching in 3 states in each direction, I found them! They were in Georgia…. I somehow got someone to pick them up and bing them to me on their way to Texas! (I know that not everyone finds joy in the hunt so I have some new options linked below)
Now I don’t have the lamps just yet but they are not a priority and will come in time! I love them though! The clean lines touch back to the bed am creates harmony in the space!
When it comes to art work I encourage supporting someone local or a great small maker you mind on the internet! There are so many wonderful artist out there that big box art isn’t needed! Minted.com is a great option for sourcing art from artist. They have a huge variety and you are able to get what you want in a huge range of sizes and even framed!
Well, that was it..my first blog post… don’t know how to wrap it up but im about to have to go get the baby so this will have to do!
Thank you for reading!
