For your space I wanted to accentuate the classic timeless lines of your home while pulling in more modern prices. Layering the old and new, modern and traditional gives a very curated cozy familiar feeling without looking like it came out of a catalog!

Sitting AREA

For your sitting area I would love to move the Walter Anderson to the window, I know it sounds crazy but it’s a really interesting look and I think the length of the print would look amazing across the three windows.  We can mount it with decorative hooks and a small chain above the window or if it is wide enough it can be  mounted it on those two thick uprights.

I was looking for something modern but timeless for an accent table then I stumbled upon this acrylic trunk I know you have so many cool knickknacks and stuff we could even style the inside of the strong it doesn’t have to be functional it can just be cool!

These rugs are both vintage and currently in stock and I think either would look incredible.

I think these pillows really pull in a homemade hand-painted feel well also having modern lines and they tie in and the colors from either rug!

A cool modern floor lamp and some transitional storage Ottomans round out the space to be really comfortable for guest or to just sit and have your morning coffee!

Breakfast Nook

Since this area is one of the first things you see when you walk in I wanted to make sure we had those beautiful layers of old and new without being over the top for people to see right away.

I can’t tell you how much I love banquette seating for a family. A banquette is not only comfortable but also a great opportunity to add pattern and color, and that is what we did here! This is a performance fabric and in a large scale so it is perfect for families! The shape of the back and the nail head trim reflect that traditional tone that your home carries. I paired it with this indoor outdoor striped rug that is super easy to maintain looks great and the pattern is modern but not over the top, giving us that layering effect that we love so much.

I think this corner on the right is perfect for some greenery. A lemon tree would be beautiful  and work great in that lighting and also be fun for your kids to watch grow. My friend Barrett Pathos Botanicals will be able to give you all the information you need about what will thrive in that corner and also help you get a hold of it and plant it for you! You can find his information right here at pathosbotanicals.com. and you can book an interior plant consultation right on his website!

Display Cabinet area

We had talked about moving the large China display cabinet from the dining room into this space to free up space for something more modern in the dining room. I still think that is a fantastic idea it will look beautiful. I will come style it up part of sourcing it since I sourced it from the other room.  Just let me know when it is moved and I’ll come over!

I love bringing in some accent lighting on either side of a display cabinet.  It is also the perfect place to display some small art or beautiful plates. Either would work great in this situation! They come in a set with plugs or one by one without plugs, both are listed.

Please let me know if you have any questions and when you would like me to come style your display cabinet! We can also take time to see how to mount the Walter Anderson over the window.

The button below will take you to a spreadsheet with all the product information on it.

Thank you so much!
